What is Deep Tissue Massage?
Deep tissue massage is not simply “hard massage”. A good session builds pressure gradually and works deliberately through selected areas while keeping communication open throughout.
What happens during the session?
Your therapist will ask which areas feel most restricted or tired. The session may spend longer on the back, shoulders, glutes or legs instead of trying to cover the whole body equally. Pressure should always remain within your comfort level.
Pressure
Medium-firm to firm, always adjustable.
Session length
60 minutes works for a few priority areas; 90 minutes gives more time for targeted work plus wider coverage.
After your appointment
You may feel worked rather than sleepy. Keep the rest of the day sensible and let your therapist know immediately if any pressure feels too intense.
